Aug 18 (Monday) - Students declared this day a holiday even before official announcement. So I'm not gonna show up. For Honors Class, I will expect all major essays uploaded by 12 noon.

Aug 19 (Tuesday) - All 211 classes (E, N, and F) will have their Long Quiz on this day. The 50-point test will cover public speaking, modes of delivery, modes of persuasion, kinds of speeches, and current events.

Aug 20 (Wednesday) - I will announce the pointers for 111 classes (A and G) on this day. Hmmm... this is also the deadline for the submission of the Major Essay! Honors Class will have its review for the midterm on this day. Plus, I almost forgot, all essays must be submitted in portfolios on this day.

What is a portfolio?
It's a non-transparent folder that compiles all your written essays. Including the ones that were massacred with red ink all over. And those revised ones.:)

To 111 - Honors Class:

We're done with our two Minor Essays.
1. "What An Ateneo Education Means to Me?" and,
2. "Has Gloria Been Good to Philippine Democracy?"

We'll start working on our Major Essays this week.

It will include
a. descriptive, and
b. narrative essays.

(Please study the said modes of paragraph development.)

That will be the coverage of our coursework for the midterm. The course outline will be released within this week. :)
